sported. are really pleased to announce that our recent press
advert 'Life on the Street' last night won the 'Best Writing' award
at the 'The Best Awards' run by the Marketing Agencies
Association.
The sported. press advert was created by our design agency Draft FCB who
have been working closely with sported. to create a strong and
impressive brand. sported. was selected by staff at Draft FCB as
their charity of the year for 2011 and 2012 and we continue to work
in partnership with the agency to raise our profile.
The advert sets out to show the impact sport can have on the lives
of the young people our Member Organisations work with.
sported. works with community and voluntary groups who provide
sport for development to disadvantaged young people aged 11 -
25.
The following feedback was received from the judges:
'The craft in the sported. campaign, the skill with the double
meaning is difficult to do and it is done really well in this
instance. sported. is such a worthy winner because the writing is
the idea, it's the perfect execution within the copy of the idea.
For young people it's saying 'you can go one way or the other: you
can get involved in sport or you can get involved in drugs or gang,
and you'll be doing similar things but one's dramatically more
positive than the other,' and that came through very strongly
indeed. '
