Business and sports development experts from the Humber area
being urged to become part of the London 2012 legacy, with
sported. now recruiting a number of volunteer Mentors in area to
add to the existing team currently working in other areas of
Yorkshire.
sported. Mentors work behind the scenes with community and
voluntary groups who are running a sports project that bring about
a positive change to the lives of young people. By providing
business support such as budget planning, guidance on funding
applications, or PR and Marketing advice, sported. Mentors help
these groups become more sustainable.
During the past two years, sported. Mentors have helped
community and voluntary groups in Yorkshire secure over £100,000 in
funding and now it is the time for volunteers from the Humber to
step forward and become part of the 2012 Games legacy.

said "We have a team of highly motivated and skilled Mentors
currently supporting community groups in the region, and now we are
looking to expand that team by recruiting business and sports
development experts from Hull and East Riding".
