sported. in the Yorkshire and the Humber Region is pleased to
announce that it has awarded £43,930 in funding to
groups in the region at its latest funding panel.
This was broken down into £18,784 in Small Grants to 10 groups.
In addition, 4 groups that have received Mentor support have also
been awarded total funding of £25,146 to support the projects in
their development. This takes the total value of Awards made in
2012 to £106,000.
A wide variety of projects have been supported which aim to make
changes within their communities.
Paul Steele, Yorkshire and Humber Regional Manager, commented: "The
volume of applications and the amount of funding provided to grass
roots projects has increased at each panel throughout the year, it
is great to see such a variety of groups using sport to change
young peoples lives."
We are currently inviting applications from groups for the next
panel in October and encourage groups that are using sport as a
tool, or wanting to deliver projects to improve their communities
to get in touch.
