Small grant round opens in Yorkshire

sported. has announced that the next round of small grants is
open to applications in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The small
grant scheme is a grant of up to £2000 to support projects that
deliver a lasting impact within communities. The fund is aimed at
small organisations with incoming resources of less than £50,000
that use sport as a tool for developing their local communities and
should aim to achieve a minimum of three of the following sport for
development criteria:
- Building Strong Communities
- Removing Barriers to Participation
- Reducing Crime And Antisocial Behaviour
- Developing Young people's confidence and life skills to enable
them to reach their full potential
- Improving Health and Well Being.
Organisations must first be a Member of sported., click here to
apply. Grant applicants should discuss their project with the
Regional Manager for Yorkshire and the Humber, Paul Steele.
Once it has been determined that the project meets the eligibility
an application form will be sent for completion.
sported. will consider funding a range of project costs,
however, generally we will not help fund large capital expenses
such as building facilities. We are also unable to fund activity
which is undertaken within schools during curricular time.
The deadline for the current round of applications is
Monday 21 September. Applicants will be
advised as to whether they are successful in October.

part of the process and would welcome applications that have
received funding from a variety of sources.
