2012 and Beyond - Yorkshire and the Humber
20 Jan 2012
2011 has been the first year for sported. in the region. We
launched in June and held our first grant assesment panel in July.
Throughout the year we have invested £42,000 in fantastic projects
and awarded 17 projects with one-to-one mentoring, we have almost
100 Members in our first year. Our Mentors have been invaluable and
a great thanks to those that have supported us on our journey, the
skills and experiences that they bring to groups and the
communities has been fantastic.
So what lies in store for 2012? We have already held our first
funding panel of the year with £34,895 of grants approved and nine
projects are to receive Mentor support. As from January the 1st we
have expanded our membership to cover the Humber area and we are
already receiving requests for support from a number of great
projects.
In June we shall further expand our membership area and open for
projects in North Yorkshire which will be the final stage in our
roll out across Yorkshire.
We intend to hold a number of events this year and we hope that you
will be able to attend where we celebrate the great impact that
sports projects deliver in our communities.
We shall be introducing more services to support our Members and we
continually seek feedback to ensure that this is Member led one of
which is our recent addition being our insurance package and the
