sported. are pleased to announce a new opportunity that will provide West Midlands Members with access to volunteers.
12 Sep 2011
A new partnership has been developed with The University
of Birmingham that will provide sported. Members with access to
students completing the Sport, Physical Education and Coaching
Sciences course. As part of this course students are required to
complete 50 hours of community volunteers, with sported. the main
supplier of these opportunities. Whilst students are required to
complete a minimum of 50 hours it is hoped that many will stay
involved in their placements on completion of these hours providing
our Members with much needed volunteers.
Students will be able to complete both hands on work with young
people or office/development tasks with placements flexible to suit
the roles required within your project. Roles completed by
volunteers may include - Assistant coaches,
Referee/Umpires/Marshalls, Youth Work Assistants, Event organisers,
Sports administrators, Researchers and many other roles.
West Midlands members have been informed of this opportunity
however if you are member and interested in hosting a student
volunteers within your project please contact the West Midlands
