Sport for Development Information Session in Newry - 21 May 2012

sported. is holding an information event, in partnership with the Confederation of Community Groups Newry, to help groups learn more about sport for development and how it might be used in their work with young people.

The session will look at the theory of sport for development and also have a practical example of how one group uses sport for development with the young people they work with.

sported. will also give an overview of its work, the support it offers to groups using sport for development with young people aged 11-25 and how groups can become Members. Speakers will include Paul Kitchin, Lecturer at the University of Ulster, Ronan McKenna from Shaftesbury Community Recreation Centre and Brenda Kelly from sported.

The session is free and will take place on 21 May 2012 at 10.30am to 12noon at Ballybot House, 28 Cornmarket, Newry BT35 8BG.
