First volunteers trained in Northern Ireland

The first volunteers have been trained in Northern Ireland and
are now ready to work with Member organisations to help build their
capacity in a number of areas. sported. is delighted to
welcome our first four volunteers who come from a range of
backgrounds. The volunteers have a wealth of experience and
knowledge, which will be of great benefit to the groups that they
work with.
The skilled volunteer programme is being rolled out in a phased
approach across Northern Ireland over the next year, with Belfast
and Newry and Mourne first. sported. Northern Ireland
is encouraging more skilled volunteers to join the team,
particularly those who are interested in volunteering in the Newry
and Mourne area and Belfast.
With the aim of having our first Mentors and Members matched by
Mid-May, sported. will be looking for volunteers from all areas
across Northern Ireland during the course of the year and welcomes
enquires from anyone interested in joining the team. To apply to
