North East funding deadlines approaching
24 Oct 2012
Hearty Lives Gateshead (East Gateshead)
Funding: Up to £1,000
Deadline: 31st October 2012
Hearty Lives Gateshead is a project funded by the British Heart
Foundation over 3 years, working in partnership with voluntary
groups, primary care and the local authority to improve men's
health. It is focused in the East Neighbourhood Management Area of
Gateshead and includes Felling, Pelaw and Heworth, Wardley and Leam
Lane and Windy Nook and Whitehills. The aim is to understand what
healthy activities men would like to do given the opportunity. The
project wishes to develop local initiatives which will increase
men's knowledge and understanding about living a healthy
lifestyle.
Grants are available to community based groups and organisations
based in the East area of Gateshead. These grants will aim to raise
awareness about the Hearty Lives project and engage men to get more
involved in activities in their locality. For more information and
application material contact David Brady: david.brady@sotw.nhs.uk / 0191 497 1579
