Money for Life Challenge 2012, funding for young people
and your organisation
For anyone who doesn't know... the Money for Life Challenge is a
financial capability programme where a team of learners (aged 16 -
24) accompanied by an adult sponsor can apply for a £500 grant to
devise and demonstrate their own novel ways to teach others how to
manage money. £300 of the grant is for your organisation to spend
completely at your discretion and the remaining £200 is for the
young people to spend on their money management projects. You can
have up to ten teams from your organisation of a minimum of 5
people per team; that could mean potentially £3000 maximum that you
can earn in grants!
Last year's competition was a roaring success. There were
110 submissions, and the young people involved inspired us with
their energy, enthusiasm and brilliant ideas for how to tackle
money management in their communities. Why not find out more by
checking out the
video.
The Money for Life Project at Toynbee Hall also offers a free
money management service for young people in London. This is
achieved by running outreach group workshops for your project and
delivering a 1-2-1 service.
